In the Rio Grande Valley, the conjunto sound of Los Dos Gilbertos reigns supreme. Led by vocalist/accordionist Gilberto Garcia and bajo sexto player Ruben Garza, Los Dos Gilbertos have developed into one of the most popular South Texas dance bands since they began performing in 1965. The group's sound is distinguished by their smooth and sultry compass, driving dance rhytms and the group's smooth vocal harmonies. Gilberto and Ruben will tell their story and perform at the next "Second Weensdee," this month to be held at the historic dance hall of San Benito - La Villita.
