Like all beginnings to Fall, things just get busier and more is going on and unfortunately, some other aspets of life get less attention...like exercise, or diets, or sleep...or for me...this blog. But alas, TAOB is not forgotten!
The Art of Brownsville events calendar keeps filling up! Check out the various events going on in September alone! Especially the festivals like Cine Sol Film Festival and The Narciso Martinez Cultural Arts Center Conjunto Festival.

Hi Mayra, I'm glad your still working on the Art of Brownsville. I know how busy life gets.
I wanted to let you know that a new student art group has just formed at UTPA called Artists Unanimous. http://artistsunanimous.blogspot.com/
I'm vice-president of the group :) We gong to do our best to have an impact on art on this end of the valley.
I hope you'll have another TAOB gathering sometime. Maybe I can bring a few others from this end of the valley.
Hello from the little ole' United Kingdom !! We have been coming to Brownsville as "Winter Texans" for some 13 years - we enjoy being a novelty when we open our mouths !! It is a pleasure to see you are still striving to show Bro. as a place other than one large Family Dollar store. We have tried each time to ge to the Museum of fine art but have always failed to find it, we hope that its move to near the zoo will help us. We are over in January to March 2007 and can hardly wait to reach our texan paradise.

Hey Mayra, TAOB keeps being my favorite site for info on the Art Scene here in Brownsville. I hope you never get discouraged and stop doing what you are doing because you are doing greatness. I really think with this blog you represent one of the biggest voices of the Valley, plus you seem to be a non-profit organization, its truly for the sake of the arts.
Lately there seems to be an overwelming flow of art shows, festivals and gatherings promoting the arts. The Brownsville Herald practivally post an art event everyday. As an artist and as of fan of the arts it just seems there is so little time to do all. But its great, it truly is, I think this is what we wanted and what people like you are working for. And don't get me wrong same goes to all out there doing the same thing.
