On Saturday 3/24 after my visit to the new BMFA, I stop by to see what was going on at the Galeria 409. The dynamic "Wild Style" show was still up on display and Mark Clark working on his study (oil painting on board) that will represent and set the standard for the "Callejon de las Calaberas", a future mural project he hopes to complete with the help of local artist. The mural will run through the alley next to the galeria and will reflect on both the history of Brownsville and celebration of the dead.
Coming up at the Galeria 409 will be the work of commercial artist "Franchute":APRIL 5 to MAY5. The show will open Thursday April 5 with Reception at 6pm. You can check out the work of "Franchute" at www.franchutedeleon.com .
