TAOB is on the money. These people should be paid for doing this. It is as complete as you can expect....cgg
You guys need to move from a blog to a real website, something that feels more professional. By that I don't mean business-like, but more carefully written. You might also want to broaden you scope to include more of the other creative outlets. Seek small sponsorships from business, such as $5 a months until you get enough to pay to host a real website. No need for a lot of fancy graphics, but regular consistent content that goes beyoond notices of upcoming events. There are enough English, art, and music teachers and other creative people (chefs, theatre actors, dancers, sculptors, photographers, etc.) to have a guest column either biweekly or monthly. They can write about their own field, their personal creative experiences, or even write about a form of art other than the one they work in. With all the free image content out there, maybe you can select one painting every edition and give some history and style information on it. Another regular feature could be a resource link, like if you find a great site on Picazzo, you can feature it and then for each edition you find a different featured site. I'm sure there are other ideas you could find to put together an interesting, educational, creative online arts magazine. Maybe one our local English teachers can contribute his/her proofreading skills in order to make the site more professional. And of course, you would still include updates of upcoming events.
Anyways, I check your site regularly and I do applaud you for your efforts. I just think if the arts in Brownsville are to grow, then this site has to grow also, if not in size, in scope and content.

Congratulations on recording four years of Brownsville Art History and Art events. Keep it up. I agree with Patricia, except for that the blog or new web page should be focused on the Visual Arts, like it has been. Keep the crafts, chefs, theater actors and music teachers out. They need their own blogs or web sites.
Cheers!
