What is art and what is not, Eduardo is in my opinion one of those artist that tests those boundaries. On these works Eduardo incorporates his name into random album covers suggestive that he is the artist behind them and may as well be considered as the artist behind everything man has produced. The idea I think is somewhat a description of the history of eastern society and its rulers set out to conquer the western world, declaring everything such as land, people, ideas as part of there own creations.

Gabriel....Very interesting interpretation. That idea has been in the back of my mind. There are many ideas behind these pieces, in which those ideas are more evident in the work I do now...but you are very right in your view. I just want to add that these pieces were created almost 20 years ago in 1990-1991. They were the start of many things that I'm doing now.
boring after the 1st one
cool
James Miller's are much, much, better and creative... They are the actual conquerers, not only of the Weartern World , but specially, The SouthWestern U.S. A.... U.S. A.!!!
I think Pablo Picasso, Michelangelo and Leonardo DaVinci were more creative than Eduardo Ibarra
These are very good. I see them more as thoughts... When we dream we dream of being someone, being a movie star, being a famous artist alot of people try ty to dance or sing like someone,we all want to fit in, or we take someones ideas and make them our own its a deep instinct we have. We all want to be somebody and in that journey we base our goal on being as good if not better as someone we admire even if its one of our colleagues. I was watching the Michael Jackson memorial and I understood what Eduardo is trying to tell us. I hate his cheeto paintings and alot of his other work but I really got the feeling behind these pieces. Maybe it will take me 20 yrs to get his other work maybe I will always hate it I don't know. The feeling I got when I saw the memorial was that He is us we are him and we are all one.
