"I think its great to have opportunities to exhibit art in different settings where people interact. I don't think public Art becomes a background and overshadowed by the environment, as long as art exist in that setting it will find a way to communicate its values. Sure there's many other reason for public art like to keep it from simply being in storage, but it also shows how active the local art culture is..
As an artist you want to make art accessible to the public , so that people see your work, and perhaps buy it."
