My Loteria exhibition by Christina Sosa Noriega at Brownsville Heritage Complex

The Brownsville Heritage Complex, located in historic downtown Brownsville, invites the public to view My Loteria exhibition by San Antonio-based artist Christina Sosa Noriega. The exhibition opens to the public on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. and marks the first time it has been shown south of San Antonio. The reception is free to the public and is sponsored in part by H.E.B. My Loteria features completely original artwork that reflects the lives, looks, and tastes of many of today's Latinos. Christina coined this version My Loteria for one reason: so that Latinos can feel proud of their culture. The artwork from My Loteria has been reproduced on dishes and serving ware featured at H.E.B. grocery stores. The exhibit will be on view through March 30, 2008.
