"I am one of the most important painters of my generation, if I don't believe that then there is no reason for me to continue painting. The fact that I was born and raised on the border: Brownsville, Texas and Matamoros Tamp. Mexico makes me even more important. The choices I make as a painter are crucial to the evolution of art." gt

Eso Chingon!!
I absolutely believe that artists in the Valley are revelant, especially of late...
As Cande said; we are all Chingones!!! But Who cares If we don't move our behinds. we all want to wait for a freaking Millonaire to buy all of our paintings ... and become Millonaires in a freaking second. Lets look at what We had been doing wrong; The few exhibits and few galeries that "We have in the Valley" are very Minimum,.. and most of the time, the same few people who attend those FEW SHOWS, They just go for the FREE Freaking CHEAP Wine and Finger Snacks!!. .. They are used to geting FREE stuff anyways,.. The FEW lucky painters that sell any Art piece,. has to "Give it away" for only a few Freaking Smuckers.
- Please,.. Anybody tell Me what's wrong With what's going on with all these little " CLICKS"
~ SPEAK _ UP YOUR HERMETIC MIND,... Stop beign AFRAID, SHY and INTIMIDATED!!! ... Some PEOPLE CANN'T STAND the REAL TRUTH.. But This is AMERICA... Wher there is JUSTICE FOR MOST/SOME!!!!>>>...
well said, yes we do give it away! but only us locals. when the big boys come down, the wallets open up and it is not uncommon for those guys/gals to walk off with over 10K if not more. remmber salazar, that guy would leaave brownsville with enough money to run his shop in mx city...the question; what are we to do?
