"Borderline" by Celeste de Luna

Borderline M.F.A Art Exhibit
Where: Narciso Martinez Cultural Arts Center , 225 Stenger St . , San Benito , Tx 78586
When: April 8-May 8, 2009


Local artist and University of Texas Pan American M.F.A. candidate Celeste De Luna will be presenting her Master of Fine Arts exhibition at Narciso Martinez Cultural Arts Center in San Benito , Texas . De Luna will be presenting a body of about 20 artworks including paintings and installation.
De Luna says about her work, “My artwork seeks to validate Latino/Chicano experiences and yet strives to be universal. Common themes in my work are based on the migrant/border experiences of women, children, and families throughout generations in the context of the larger American experience.”

Thank you Gabriel, it meant a lot that you and Tony were there for me! Also, anyone who didn't make it out for opening night, two other alternative dates are Saturday, April 25 from about 10-5pm during the International poetry Festival and Second Weenesday, May 6, 2009 7:00-9:00pm. cdl

That's Not true, Celeste painted reality, most people here in the so called valley won't accept this reality. They will denied it, because They know they will never win, for lack of true leaders and political power.

I'm not doubting she's telling it like it is or is painting reality. I applaud her efforts, but the reality is that she can't paint or draw..."You go Girl!" yeah you go girl and register yourself to take some more drawing and painting classes.
