La Luna y su Penafiel :Painting by Diego Monterrubio

Title: La luna y su Penafiel
36x48
oil on canvas

TAOB NOTES: Regardless of how you want to classify the painting above " La Luna y su Penafiel : by Diego..(photo realism / pop art expressionist)oil on canvas painting, the images seem well executed. Lines look sharp, color looks clean, and balanced, the painting doesn' look like its falling to one side nor is the trace of the hand visible.. The painting is 36" x 48", a mixture of culture and consumerism, featuring iconic imagery, logos of common house hold products in particular made in Mexico. As a viewer I am not sure what the artist message is accept a pridefull reflection of an accomplished and competetive industrialized/commercialized culture..

" Penafiel" is a Brand of Soda Pops, Also there is another Brand of Soda Pops Named " Tehuacan" Both types are made from Fresh Spring water from Central Mexico. There also another Brand Called " Pascual Boing " and all of these three Brands of Soda Pops are Trully and Originally Born in Mexico!!!

the painting sucks, can't justify, anything good about it. the missing ingred. in art down here is that everyone things that their art is good, it is not. there are about 10 people in b'town who are legitimate and recognized. in the valley in general, about 30. the rest do this type of kistch art, or aspire to talk louder than their productivity.

> I may sound like Mr. Rogers, but all I want is the plain Truth !!!

" In Art, as in Life; People and evrything does Not have to make Sense, We all live in a Surreal world taht Was Meant to be Real. Time and Place can only Dictacte You Future as an Artist / Painter, I Sing and recite my Pain , my Feelings of Joy and Happyness. I am an outspoken Artist, I want my audience to Experience all that is Meant to be a Bohemian Artist, Here and Overthere Where the Birds Sing and Fly Freely ."

Does Beign Single Helps as an Artists/ Painter , In His / Her Artistic Ambitions?

Anonymous said...

Only The Truth Can set Us Free !!!

Anonymous said...

Really, Why?

Anonymous said...

yes being sinle helps because there is no bagage to hold you down. a person who wishes to make it must be able to move, go, at any moment. those who have a family have a hard time, or they are at that point in there career where, thier responsiblities have slowed down and can take that trip, etc. note that those who have a chance, must be able to to give up many things and that often means lving in a dod eat dog world. here don't worry, because it does not matter. here you just have to play the game, get around and pucker-up, if your lucky, you might make a buck or two here and there, but you will not be a player. go away and follow your dream.

Anonymous said...

Nobody wants us.

Anonymous said...

Oh No.. Why, Why ?

OUTCASTS are People whom Are Excluded or Rejected By Society or Societies.

Please read the artist statement...it "might" help with your lack of clarity and composition of art. We are trying to build a community of artists, not a mutiny.
