They consider the nature of an artist's project and the impact it will have on the community. Umbrella groups rely on grants to pay their ovehead and salaries, and their ability to receive grants depends largely on the success of the projects they sponsor.
The best way to about umbrella organizations in your area is to contact local gallery owner.

Choreograph your opening and be involved in the planning as much as possible. Not all dealers are willing to relinquish control and try something new, but push hard.
The opening should't be a three - ring circus structured for hard sell with a little Goodie [ glass of red/ white wine only ]thrown in asa a fringe benefit. This is your show, and the opening should be structured accordingly to your budget and/ or the gallery's/ museum's own.
