Mauricio Saenz "The Black Life"

TAOB Blog has been honored with a sneak peek at Mauricio Saenz new work currently in production. Mauricio is one of those few artist pushing the limits in content and is developing his own original style of art. It maybe he is not trying to make the viewer think but realize what he or she already knows.

"For the last months I've been working on a series called 'THE BLACK LIFE' which are painting-installations in tryptichs shaped as coffins that evolve around diverse ideas on death and how complex this concept can be, becoming more than just appearing to be the 'end' of life."

Mauricio Saenz is definately an original and has always delivered deep meaning within his artwork. His "museum worthy" art is on the rise.
One thing that should be noted is that Mauricio is also an art teacher who manages to stay productive as an artist as well.

This will be a great exhibit to see.

i don't know about "museum worthy" or what that means, but he is another fine product of gomez's painting program at utb. he has the desire and the need which is the drive that makes him valid. one thing missing however, he is a taker not a giver......
