First of all you owe me ten bucks..
Second - I personally was not offended by Freemans art.
I think some of the work brought that edge that I like where it questions the viewers thoughts of what art is and or what it should be and who can created, and who can accept it..
I don't think Freeman had the time to talk to everyone that night. And no I don't think is good ethics to say what you are saying..I don't recomend it. I know he reads TAOB from what he said..and with all respect to him and the bmfa I am just stating my opinion and or perspective, I am sure you have yours and others readers as they have said have theirs about his show....
Perhaps if he has a lecture it would be good to attend it and see what else he has to say about it and or how it came about to be put together and or accept it..
I still think the press release that was issued by the bmfa , created a confusion, it could of been better worded..
I also question if the show could have been better hung. Perhaps the structures in the atrium...
I also question that this show probably had 3 shows within itself that made it eclectic and somewhat confusing.
I would like to hear how this show got accepted and how it was proposed, what kind of feedback was forseen.
But there is alot to think about, and converse on this show..
What do you think about his show??? but elaborate and state your name..
I bet you the ten bucks you owe me you cheapo - respond..

He (freeman) does critiques on art and artists so he should know what to expect. I have read some of his critiques and some are not positive towards the art/artists...So he more than anyone should know what he's getting himself into when he exhibits. It would be ideal for people to tell you what they think right there and then but it's very rare...not that it's a bad thing. Some people take time to analyze what they have seen. I don't think he would disagree with people expressing their opinions of his work when that is exactly what he does.
